It is important to note that middle school sports at the school level look quite different than on the high school level. Knox County middle school sports are classified into two distinct categories: Knox County sponsored sports programs and middle school community sports programs. Below you will find the Knox-County sponsored sports programs offered at Karns Middle. In order to participate in any of these programs, students must have an up-to-date Physical Form on file at their school.

School sanctioned sports are in full compliance with Tennessee Middle School Athletic Association (TMSAA) rules and guidelines. For information regarding compliance, eligibility, and other questions regarding BMS athletics, please contact Brant Gerhardt, KMS Athletic Director.

Most sports at Karns Middle School require an updated physical that can either be completed at your child's doctor or a local walk-in clinic. Find the physical form here. These need to be dated after July 31st of the current school year.
